PM meets delegation from Korea

Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay was called on by Mr. Park Byeong-Seug, Member of National Assembly and delegation from the Republic of Korea at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang today.

After an exchange of pleasantries, Lyonchhen said Bhutan has enjoyed close cooperation and partnership spanning over 28 years with South Korea.

Restoration of the historic Mani Dangrim Chorten at Dodeyna

About one hundred people consisting of dzongkhag officials, monks and the people of Kawang joined Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay and Nangsi Lyonpo Damcho Dorji, to undertake restoration of the historic Mani Dangrim Chorten at Dodeyna yesterday. The sacred chorten was built by Phajo Drugom Zhigpo’s 10th reincarnate, Penchen Tenzin Choegyal in memory of his Tsawai Lama Kheydrup Tenzin Dhendup in the 18th century.

Upon the Command of His Majesty the King, a team of 62 Bhutanese personnel including a team of medical specialists, technicians, Desuups and other support staff have left for Nepal yesterday. According to the information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Bhutanese Relief Team – Bhutan4Nepal has reached – Trishuli, District HQ of Nuwakot.

Towards facilitating and enabling relief efforts inNepal – Bhutan4Nepal, a coordination meeting was held today at the GyalyongTshogkhang. Chaired by the Cabinet Secretary KinzangWangdi, representatives and officials from theRoyal Office of Media, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Royal Bhutan Army, Ministry of Health, Department of Air Transportand Prime Minister’s Office decided on the following:
