Lyonchhen’s Visit to Brussels

Lyonchhen and delegation arrived in Brussels this morning at the start of his visit to the European Union at the invitation of Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission.

This morning, Lyonchhen had a meeting with the Ambassador and officials of the Royal Bhutan Embassy, Brussels during which he briefed them about the developments in Bhutan and the role of embassy in promoting Bhutan’s interest in Europe.

Thereafter, Lyonchhen had lunch with the Bhutanese community living in Europe.

The Opposition Party has used highly incorrect and exaggerated figures to defame the Government

Yesterday, the Opposition Party issued a Press Release accusing the Government on numerous fronts, by comparing the budget information of Dzongkhags and Gewogs for the first 2 years of the 10th Plan and first 2 years of the 11th Plan and using the outcome as the basis of their argument.

PM meets Indian Commerce Secretary and delegation

Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay was called on by a delegation led by Mr. Rajeev Kher, Permanent Secretary to Government of India, Department of Commerce at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang today.

Welcoming the delegation, Lyonchhen expressed that regular exchange of high-level visits and constant interaction between the two countries has always been the hallmark of Bhutan-India relations.
