Upon the Command of His Majesty the King, a team of 62 Bhutanese personnel including a team of medical specialists, technicians, Desuups and other support staff have left for Nepal yesterday. According to the information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Bhutanese Relief Team – Bhutan4Nepal has reached – Trishuli, District HQ of Nuwakot.

Towards facilitating and enabling relief efforts inNepal – Bhutan4Nepal, a coordination meeting was held today at the GyalyongTshogkhang. Chaired by the Cabinet Secretary KinzangWangdi, representatives and officials from theRoyal Office of Media, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Royal Bhutan Army, Ministry of Health, Department of Air Transportand Prime Minister’s Office decided on the following:

PM meets the Ambassador of USA

Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay met with the Ambassador of United States of America (USA) to India, H.E. Mr. Richard Verma at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang today.

During the meeting, Lyonchhen and Ambassador Verma shared their views on cooperating closely in sectors such as education, human resource development, hydropower, other renewable energy sources, tourism, and CSIs among others.

Handing/Taking over Ceremony of KR-II 2013 at AMC, MoAF

His Excellency, Lyonchen Tshering Tobgay, the Prime Minister of Bhutan and the Honoured Official Representative of the Japanese Government, Mr. Kikuta Yutaka, Hon’ble Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Japan, New Delhi, India, formally graced the Handing/Taking over Ceremony of Japanese Grant 2KR (KR-II 2013) of the Japanese Financial Year 2013.
