Further relaxation of COVID-19 measures

Under the constant guidance of His Majesty The King, our COVID-19 pandemic responses averted a major public health crisis and made a well-timed cautious transition to Phase II on April 4, 2022. Supported by emerging evidence and viral characteristics and efficacy of vaccines, further relaxations came into effect on May 2, 2022.

Public notification on Home quarantine of incoming travellers

The relaxation announcement dated 23 April 2022 the following home quarantine (HQ) criteria and protocol will be applicable for inbound travellers Bhutanese as well as foreign nationals residing in Bhutan with effect from 02 May 2022. Inbound travellers are advised NOT to opt for HQ if you have elderly/vulnerable household members and/or unvaccinated children at home.

The Office of the Prime Minister & Cabinet Secretariat would like to congratulate Mr. Sonam Tobgye for being selected as the new Chief of Administration & Finance Division. Sonam has been working in the secretariat since 2006. He will also continue to serve as the Project Manager for the Electric Vehicle project in the PMO.
