  i.    Druk Wangyel Award (2009): The highest civilian decoration awarded by the King, for outstanding and exemplary service to the nation. 

ii.   Druk Thuksey Medal (1999): The second highest civilian decoration awarded by the King for distinguished service to the nation. iii.  Coronation Gold Medal (1999):  Award for meritorious public service by His Majesty the King. iv.  Distinguished Alumni Award (2009): This is the highest honor that the Pennsylvania State University, USA, bestows upon an outstanding alumnus. The award salutes the achievements of outstanding alumni whose “personal lives, professional achievements, and community service exemplify the objectives of their alma mater”.  
 

 

v.    Alumni Fellow Award, (2001): The Alumni Fellow Award is the most prestigious award given by the Penn State Alumni Association to select alumni who, as leaders in their professional fields, are nominated by an academic college and accept an invitation from the President of the University to return to campus to share their expertise with students, faculty, and administrators.  vi.  HR Strategic and Icononic Leader Award at the World HRD Congress 2010 in Mumbai on 12 February, 2010.
