Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Blueprint and National Workforce Plan launched
Hon’ble Lyonpo, Ngeema Sangay Tshempo launched the documents of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Blueprint and National Workforce Plan (NWFP) today.
The TVET Blueprint developed by the Department of Human Resources, MoLHR articulates a long term strategic vision that will guide and influence reforms and development in TVET over the next ten years (from 2016-20126). Achieving close alignment with other Government policies and strategies, the blueprint outlines a strategic approach for policy reform and development planning in skills development with an objective to address the inherent sector challenges and meet existing and future labour market demands. The implementation of this blueprint is expected to bring far-reaching reforms in Skilling Bhutan. About 110, 000 youth will have to be skilled in the next ten years.
Lyonchhen Dasho Tshering Tobgay is in Tencholing for the Opening Ceremony of 20th Batch De-Suung Integrated Training Programme this afternoon.
Speaking to the trainee, Lyonchhen said that more than the physical training, this program is a good platform for networking.
As of date the 2264 De-Suups have been trained.
