The Visit of The Prime Minister of Bhutan, Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay to India (August 30-September 4, 2013)

Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan arrived this morning in New Delhi on an official visit to India at the invitation of the Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh.

On arrival at the Indra Gandhi International Airport, Lyonchhen was received by Shri Ratanjit Pratap Narain Singh, Minister of State for Home Affairs, Ms. Sujatha Singh, Foreign Secretary, Mr. V.P. Haran, Ambassador of India to Bhutan, Ms. Ruchira Kamboj, Chief of Protocol and other senior of officials of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India.

In the afternoon, Lyonchhen held separate meetings with Shri P.Chidambaram, Minister of Finance, Shri Sushilkumar Shinde, Minister of Home Affairs, Shri Shivshankar Menon, National Security Advisor, Smt. Sujatha Singh, Foreign Secretary and senior officials of the Government of India. Shri Rahul Gandhi, Vice-President of Indian National Congress also called on Lyonchhen. During the meetings the two sides discussed bilateral matters including India’s assistance to the 11th Five Year Plan and other issues of mutual interest.
