responsible for the overall budget, planning and implementation of
development activities and monitoring of law and order situation in the district.
Key Achievements:
 100% achievement of the Dzongkhag’s 8th Five Year Plan
implementation. Also initiated various non-plan projects like construction
of 17.5 km new feeder road from Dagapela to Gesarling, road widening
and resurfacing of 88 KM Sunkosh-Daga road, construction of Shathong
Goenpa and Dagapela Lhakhangs and country’s First Village Olympics.
 Implemented one of the most successful Dzongkhag resettlement
programmes.
 Implemented Emergency Food Relief operations during road blocks in
1998 successfully.

broadcasting to the formation of an informed citizenry within a diverse,
democratic and decentralized society. Also to participate in the annual world’s
largest broadcast and technological event ‘the National Association of
Broadcasters (NAB) Show’ in Las Vegas where over 110000 plus global
communities of content professionals from over 163 countries had
converged.
