The Prime Minister Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay has reached Samtse today. He was on an official tour to his constituency and had started by walk from Haa. The first public meeting was held at Samar gewog, Haa. Lyonchhen also visited Sombaykha and Gakiling gewogs during the tour.

Lyonchhen elaborated on the success of the first session of second parliament since forming the new government. He spoke to the people about the 100 days’ pledges that have been fulfilled and were applicable in the rural areas. He also spoke on the 11th plan and the budget. Lyonchhen highlighted on the current economic situation of the country and said that the people need to work harder in order to achieve economic self reliance. Meanwhile, he said that those villages under the two gewogs, which were not connected by road and electricity will soon be provided with the facilities. Lyonchhen told the people that the government will support and work harder to achieve their aspirations. Tomorrow, the Prime Minister will visit Tendru in Samtse.
