PM was called on by the Former President of Finland

This morning, Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay was called on by the Former President of Finland, H.E. Mrs. Tarja Kaarina Halonen at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang.

Lyonchhen congratulated Mrs. Halonen for Finland’s notable success in the education sector and for being exemplary in exercising leadership in schooling children. Lyonchhen stressed on bringing about positive reforms in the education system and prioritising on providing quality education for children in Bhutan. Lyonchhen also informed the former president that Bhutan is sincerely committed towards environmental conservation and promoting sustainable development.

The former president expressed her personal happiness on Bhutan’s significant progress in the field of education and and the conscious efforts in preserving its pristine environment.
