PM in Gelephu and Sarpang

On March 10, Prime Minister Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay held an interactive meeting with the LG leaders, civil servants, corporate employees, business community members and the public at Gelephu Higher Secondary School.

LFYDuring the meeting, Lyonchhen mentioned that Gelephu and Sarpang were important towns and economic development activities were viable in agriculture, animal husbandry and vocational training sectors. Lyonchhen assured the gathering that RGoB would initiate the developmental activities and provide the necessary support. On the way forward, the people will have to become responsible and work towards fulfilling their own objectives.

Lyonchhen informed them about the 11th FYP budget allocations and said that the government is looking for further possibilities in successfully implementing the plan. The concerns raised during the meetings were mostly with regard to safe drinking water supply, soil erosion, floods, roads, and other such issues in the region.
