Lyonchhen met with the Public of Tsangkha Gewog, Dagana
Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay met with the Tsangkha Gewog under Dagana Dzongkhag today evening.
Lyonchhen told the people about the role of the government and the equivalent responsibility of the people. He shared the example of the 100 units free electricity supplied to the rural areas which he said is beneficial economically and on health grounds.
Lyonchhen congratulated the gathering for the successful 24 bio-gas projects in the Gewog and encouraged the people to use bio-gas more.
Lyonchhen informed the gathering that he understands about the drinking water shortage in the Gewog and explained that a survey will be carried out to access feasible water sources soon. He also informed the gathering that the Dzongkhag Administration will look into the poor B-mobile connectivity issue faced by the people.
Dorji Wangchuk, a local questioned Lyonchhen on the possibility of re-introducing the non-formal education practices in the Gewog and introducing religious choe-shay layrims in the Gewog.
Lyonchhen shared that he was delighted that the people of Tsangkha Gewog raised such concerns. He told the crowd that Tsangkha was the only Gewog who raised such concerns of all other Gewogs he visited.
He said that education is very crucial and hence the re-introduction of the non-formal education is very good. He promised that he will consult the Education Ministry on the matter. On the introduction of religious sermons, Lyonchhen told the people to discuss on the dates and inform Dasho Dzongda who will then consult the Monastic Body.
Tsangkha Gewog has 405 households.
